“Simple Tips for When You Feel Stuck”

Hello everyone,

I’d like to share my experience and strategies for finding direction when you feel lost in your personal development journey.

This morning, as soon as I woke up, I found myself unsure of what to do.

The first thing I did was grab my notebook, which I always keep close by. I even leave it next to my bed because I often wake up in the middle of the night with new ideas, and I like to jot them down right away. Whenever I have an idea or a task to complete, I make sure to write it down in this notebook. So, when I feel lost like I did this morning, I refer to it and check my top six priorities and my to-do list to follow through with them.

For example, here are my top six priorities.

  1. Write a blog post.
  2. Study a chapter on personal development.
  3. Record a podcast episode.
  4. Attend a yoga class.
  5. Call my parents.
  6. Play the piano.

The key is to prioritize tasks based on their importance. For example, writing a blog post is currently my top priority, so I tackle that first thing in the morning. Playing the piano is less critical, so I save that for when I have some free time. I also make use of my breaks at work or my commute home to call my parents.

Consistently taking action on these priority tasks each day has turned them into habits. For example, I’ve made it a habit to write a blog post as soon as I wake up, record a podcast episode during my commute, attend yoga class after work, call my parents during breaks, and practice the piano as soon as I arrive home from work, even if it’s just for five minutes.

However, sometimes I still feel stuck, so I immediately check my notebook for guidance.

My point is, identify your top six priorities and take action on them each day until they become ingrained habits. These tactics have significantly improved my life, allowing me to utilize my time effectively and grow as a person.

I’d love to hear about your strategies, so please feel free to share them in the comments below.
