How Did My Life Become Peaceful and Calm? My Secret tools

Hi everyone,

Since embarking on my personal development journey, my life has become smoother, with less stress and upset. Instead, I’ve grown mentally stronger and gained more wisdom.

Here’s what I’ve learned: I’ve learned to take control of my thoughts. When negative or unnecessary thoughts arise, I remind myself: “They can’t hurt me. I control my thoughts; they don’t control me.” Then, I eliminate those thoughts and replace them with practical ones: “It’s nothing serious. It’s my brain; I am the one in control. I won’t let others hurt me. These negative thoughts won’t happen. They don’t offer any solutions.”

Next step: I simply switch my brain to a blank state. I stop dwelling on all thoughts, similar to a meditative state.

I have realized that thoughts are optional. If you want to think good stuff, you can, but if you want to think miserable or bad stuff, it’s up to you. So, I deliberately choose to think that makes me feel better and happy. For instance, I think about the future, such as visiting my parents in South Korea twice a year, having the freedom to choose my working hours, swimming in warm water every day, and playing ice and inline hockey whenever I want. Thinking about that makes me happy. So deliberate thinking is crucial.

Why don’t you think about what makes you happy rather than things that bring you down and make you sad? I practice this deliberate thinking method a lot and these simple tools have changed my life to be more peaceful, calm, and mentally strong.
