How to Find the Right Career and Create the Life You Wish For #2

In my journey to find the right career, purpose, or passion, I constantly asked myself questions:

What career will challenge me, be meaningful, useful, and help others?

Is it beneficial for both others and me?

Will I enjoy the consequences of pursuing this career?

Who am I?

What do I want in life?

What are my personality traits and preferences?

What do I like or dislike?

Also, creating personal principles helps provide direction and avoid chaos.

Here are mine:

  • Do the right things.
  • Listen to others rather than talk.
  • Treat others as I want to be treated.
  • Stay calm and peaceful inside.
  • Have friends who want the best for me.
  • Strive to be better than yesterday.
  • Avoid judging others; I am not superior.
  • Give and help others—it benefits me too.
  • Avoid lying; it makes things worse.
  • Be confident, clear, and precise when speaking.
  • Don’t worry unnecessarily; it likely won’t happen.
  • Show compassion rather than ignore

I cannot express enough the importance of making plans and envisioning goals for your life as I’ve witnessed it myself. My first priority for the day is marking plans for the day. That habit has made me who I am today.
