I failed again.
I let others control my thoughts and feelings, which made me feel down.
However, I managed to regain control within 7 hours—a significant improvement. Here’s how I did it:
When unfair thoughts invaded my mind at 1 a.m., I repeatedly told myself, “It’s already in the past. I won’t dwell on it because I can’t change it. I won’t let others control how I feel. I didn’t do anything wrong, so I don’t deserve to feel down. These are my emotions and feelings. I am the one who controls them. Forget about it and don’t bring it up again. ”After repeating this several times, I cleared my mind by saying “clear, clear, clear” while practicing deep breathing. Once I removed the negative thoughts, I replaced them with practical and positive ones, such as how wonderful my life is, having a good partner and bunny, focusing on my future, planning my upcoming holiday, or thinking about reducing my workdays—things that always make me happy. And that was the key: replacing negative thoughts with positive ones.
After practicing this tactic, I felt better and more optimistic.
I’ve successfully overcome this challenge once again.
