Focus + Decision + Action = The Formula to Transform Your Life
Your attention is powerful.
Whatever you focus on—positive or negative—grows stronger. For example, when I focus on my semi-retirement plans, I feel energized and excited because I’m pouring my energy into something I love and looking for. But if I dwell on my 35-minute commute to work, I feel worse because my attention is on something that drains me. How you feel is directly influenced by where you place your focus.
When unhelpful thoughts arise, I ask myself: “Is this thought useful and worth pursuing?” or “Is this a waste of my energy?” If it’s unhelpful, I stop and immediately shift my attention to something constructive.
Focus on What Matters
I make a conscious effort to focus on what I want or need, not on distractions or negativity. For example, when I aim to create compounding income, I focus on exploring opportunities rather than worrying about potential problems. Focusing on what you want—not on what you want to avoid—creates clarity and motivation.
By visualizing my goals and future success, I feel empowered and inspired. Instead of dwelling on what’s wrong, I redirect my thoughts toward positive, uplifting outcomes.
The Power of Words
I also use empowering words like calm, peaceful, energized, dynamic, exciting, and interesting. These words reflect the person I strive to become and create a mental image that motivates me. Just saying these words makes me feel aligned with their energy, keeping me focused and optimistic.
Stay Calm, Stay Confident
Challenges are inevitable, but staying calm and confident allows me to navigate them with clarity. Transformation isn’t just about thinking or feeling—it’s about taking action. Your actions shape your reality and define who you become.
At the end of the day, success is built on action. No matter how small, each step you take moves you closer to your goals.
So start today. The choices you make now will determine the person you become tomorrow.
