Habits That Transformed My Everyday Life #2

People often ask how I manage to get so much done in a day. Honestly, it’s not about doing more — it’s about small habits that shape who I’ve become.

Early mornings:
Since I started waking up around 5 AM, my life has completely changed. I use that quiet time to study, write my journal, practise speeches, or do my morning exercise. It gives me focus, energy, and time to do what truly matters before work.

Writing things down:
Ideas come at random times — in bed, in the car, or even while shopping. I write them down straight away, either on paper or my phone. This small habit has helped me capture so many great ideas I might have forgotten.

Building small habits:
After moving into my new home, I started using a squeegee after every shower. At first, it was annoying, but I imagined what would happen if I didn’t — mould and watermarks everywhere! So I stuck with this habit for three weeks, and now it’s become automatic.

Saving first:
Every time I get paid, I move a portion straight into my savings account before spending anything. It’s a small step that gives me peace and confidence about the future.

Preparing ahead:
I organise my hockey gear the night before or pack for classes early in the morning so I’m never rushed. I also prepare my meals for the week — washing veggies, cutting fruit, and boiling grains. When I’m tired, I tend to reach for unhealthy food, so having everything ready helps me eat healthy without effort.

These small habits might seem simple, but together they’ve transformed my life. Once you push through the first three weeks, they become part of who you are.

That’s how real change begins — one small habit at a time.

What’s one habit that’s made a positive difference in your life?
