Every day, I have a choice.
I choose…
• to live instead of just survive.
• to let go of worries and the past that I can’t change.
• to focus on what truly matters.
• to keep learning and growing.
• to give to others, because it makes me feel good too.
• to stop worrying about what other people think or expecting them to understand me.
• to let people be who they are because I can not change them.
• to not let other people’s words or behaviour make me feel bad.
• to accept that it’s okay to feel down sometimes.
• to forgive and let go, even when it’s really hard.
• to be kinder to myself.
None of these choices make life perfect.
But together, they’ve brought me more peace and helped me feel happier.
No one else can choose my happiness for me.
That choice begins with me.
Reflection questions:
• What is one choice I can make today to bring myself more peace?
• What am I holding onto that I can let go of?
• Am I waiting for someone else to make me happy, or am I choosing it myself?
