This morning, I sat down with my tea and asked myself a few honest questions.
I thought, “What am I actually doing these days?”
Well, I’ve been exercising six days a week and practising role plays every day — that’s good.
But then I realised… I haven’t done my assessments, yoga, piano, or hockey shooting practice. I also called my parents less than usual or caught up with friends — it’s been about two weeks since I last socialised.
So I asked myself, “How can I bring those things back?”
I decided to start small:
– Work on my assessment each morning, even just one question.
– Call my parents while I’m riding my bike or walking in the park.
– Do five minutes of yoga between tasks.
Play the piano after lunch when I usually feel sleepy.
– Have a little hockey shooting practice after 3 pm as a treat once my main tasks are done.
– Reach out to a classmate on Friday around 4 pm for a chat.
You can see that I planned it specifically and made each goal attainable, with a clear timeline that suits my daily rhythm.
Then I asked, “Why did I stop doing these things in the first place?”
The answer was simple — I lost focus and forgot why they were important.
So, I wrote down the purpose behind each one. When I understand the reason, it’s much easier to follow through.
Just small steps, but they make me feel more balanced.
What about you? What’s something you’d like to bring back into your routine?🙌
