This morning, I was looking back at my life and had an interesting realisation — everything I’ve done so far was my decision.
I decided to go to university, even though I didn’t enjoy.
I decided to make all the mistakes.
I decided to take the kind of job I liked—or even disliked.
I decided to binge-watch, over-exercise, overthink, and even dwell on the past I can’t change.
I decided to get up early to grow, learn, and make the most of my day.
Every action — good or bad — was my choice.
That thought really hit me.
From now on, I’ll try to decide more meaningfully by asking myself simple questions:
• Is this thought good for me?
• Will this make me tired or energised?
• Is this behaviour healthy?
• Will this help me grow?
I am the one making the choices in my life, and I can’t blame anyone else.
