This morning, I caught myself living in the past.
Replaying things I can’t change.
Overthinking.
Blaming.
Feeling lost.
Then I paused and asked myself one simple question:
“What do I actually need right now?”
The answer wasn’t about fixing the past.
It was about living this moment.
One day at a time.
Focusing on what makes me feel happy and at peace.
No more overthinking.
I simply needed a little more direction.
I needed to spend time with people who make me feel safe.
I needed to take one small step forward.
That one question shifted my focus.
From what I can’t change…
To what I can do today.
Just one small thing.
I’ve learned that we can’t rewrite yesterday.
But we can choose how we live today.
Sometimes, that’s all we need to move forward.
Reflection questions:
• Am I spending too much time thinking about the past I can’t change?
• What do I actually need right now?
• What is one small step I can take today?
