Want to Wake Up Earlier Without Forcing Yourself?

I’ve been getting back into my 5 am routine after spending 7 weeks overseas.

Here are a few things that have been helping me:

• Wake up just 20 minutes earlier every few days.

• Go to bed at a similar time each night.

• Leave a bottle of water in the living room. As soon as I wake up, I get out of bed to drink it. The goal is to keep moving until my body wakes up.

• Make a cup of tea, open the blinds, unload the dishwasher, or do a few simple chores.

If I stay in bed waiting to feel awake, I usually want to go back to sleep.

So now I tell myself,

“Don’t wait to feel awake. Move first.”

That simple change wakes up both my body and my mind.

I love my 5 am routine because it gives me quiet time before the day begins.

Time to enjoy a cup of tea.

Time to reflect on my life.

Time to focus on what matters most.

For me, waking up early isn’t about doing more.

It’s about starting the day feeling alive, purposeful, and clear-minded.

What’s one small habit that helps you get out of bed in the morning?
